The Department of Mathematics, School of Indigenous Knowledge Science and Technology (SIKST), KISS DU had organized an Expert Talk to commemorate the birth anniversary of eminent Mathematician S. Ramanujan and to mark the celebration of National Mathematics Day on 22nd December 2025 on the topic “Two-Dimensional Wave Equation”. Dr. Bhupati Bhusan Mishra, Professor of Mathematics, School of Applied Sciences, KIIT Deemed to be University was invited as the esteemed resource person.
The Welcome Address was delivered by Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr. Kashi Nath Jena, KISS-DU. The event was graced by the Dean of the School, faculty members, research scholars and students. In his deliberation, Dr. Mishra explained mathematical modeling of one dimensional and two-dimensional wave equation. Furthermore, he emphasized on the application and necessity of Mathematics in different fields of our society. The Department also released a Wall Magazine on the occasion.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Pankijini Tripathy, HoD, Mathematics and Dr. Susanta Kumar Mohapathra, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics proposed the Vote of Thanks.
