Dr. Rasmita Tripathy, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Odia, School of Comparative Tribal Languages and Literatures (SCTLL), KISS Deemed to be University brought laurels to the academic and literary community at the Odisha State Book Festival 2025.
At the prestigious Odisha State Book Festival 2025, held at the IDCO Exhibition Ground, Unit-3, Dr. Tripathy was conferred with the Srujana Swapna Prabandha Mahasamman–2025 in recognition of her outstanding contribution to Odia language and literature. The award acknowledges her original, research-based writings that have significantly enriched the quarterly literary magazine Srujan Swapna, along with several other reputed literary publications in journals. Her scholarly works, marked by depth, originality, and critical insight, have earned wide circulation and readership, establishing her as a distinguished voice in contemporary Odia literary discourse.
Beyond her literary excellence, she is widely recognised for her student-centric pedagogy that draws upon students’ lived experiences to foster intellectual depth, inner consciousness, and cultural awareness. Through education and mentorship, she has guided learners in shaping meaningful lives while affirming their indigenous and linguistic identities. The conferment of the Srujana Swapna Prabandha Mahasamman–2025 affirms her stature as a distinguished scholar and educator, while also reflecting the growing academic and cultural impact of the SCTLL and its commitment to research, creativity, and the enrichment of Odia language and literature.
This honour marks a moment of pride for the entire faculty members and academic community, further strengthening the visibility and reputation of the School of Comparative Tribal Languages and Literatures at the state and national levels.
