The Department of Geography, School of Tribal Resource Management (STRM) KISS-DU, successfully organized a Student Seminar on “Geographical Study of Tribal Cave Art, Culture and Its Evolution” on 21st November 2025, with enthusiastic participation from Ph.D. Research Scholars, PG, and UG students. The seminar was delivered by Shruti Khalkho, Research Scholar, who presented an insightful analysis of the geographical, cultural, and historical significance of tribal cave art and its evolutionary trajectory. The programme commenced with a warm Welcome Address by Durjan Sabar, Research Scholar. The event was graced by the Dean of STRM, Dr. Arpana Premi Lina Oraon, senior faculty member Mrs. Saurava Goswami, and faculty members from the Department of Geography and other departments.
The seminar was overall coordinated by Dr. Monalisha Mishra, Head of the Department of Geography, and Dr. Somanath Mishra from the Department of Renewable Resources B.VOC, whose support ensured the smooth conduct of the programme. The academic gathering fostered interdisciplinary learning and strengthened students’ understanding of tribal heritage from a geographical standpoint.
