The Department of Education under the School of Tribal Heritage and Tribal Indology produced fifth Ph.D. Scholar.
Dr. Sasmita Meher has been awarded the Doctorate Degree in Education for her research work on ”Digital Competence Skills and Job Satisfaction among Secondary School Teachers working in Tribal Areas of Western Odisha” under the supervision of Dr. Sujata Acharya, Associate Professor and Dean of School of Tribal Heritage and Tribal Indology. On being request to share her journey Dr. Meher shared “I wish to enhance the digital competencies of people in my community and contribute in making them market-ready”.

She had enrolled in KISS in 2013 in class XI and continued her study till Ph.D. Currently, she is working as a Lecturer in Education, Anchal Degree College, Palampur, Bargarh by qualifying in State Selection Board (SSB) in 2022. Her Thesis was evaluated by Prof. Manoj Kumar Saxena, Dean and Head, Department of Education, Central University of Himachal Pradesh and Professor Vimal Kishor, Head, Department of Education, Central University of Jharkhand.
Professor Saxena appreciated the research work of Dr. Meher during the Open Défense Viva-voce.
