The Youth Red Cross (YRC) Unit KISS-DU organized a Community Awareness Programme on the theme Art of Giving from 15th September 2022 to 26th September 2022. The idea behind this was to inculcate the attitude of Giving among the volunteers, inspired by the philosophy of Hon’ble Founder KISS and KIIT, Dr. Achyuta Samanta. Various awareness activities were organized to sensitize the community members on issues of utmost importance. Village Cleanliness, Interaction with Community People, Street Play on the theme: Gender Equality; Early Marriage and Girl Child Education, Sharing Smiles with Community Children and Distribution of Study Materials were organized.
The programme was organized in a village in Barama Sabar Sahi, Pathargadia. Around sixty volunteers participated in the Programme. The Programme was inaugurated by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, KISS-DU Professor Deepak Kumar Behera. In his motivational speech, he inspired the volunteers and villagers. The volunteers staged the play ‘Sanju Ra Kahani’ (The Story of Sanju) and the theme of the play was explained by YRC Counsellor, Ms. Bedamati Pattanaik.
The feedback from the villagers were noted for further improvement and the efforts of the volunteers were praise worthy. Among other volunteers, Peras Sabar, Purna chandra Jakasika, Ballai Majhi Surekha Naik played a key role and the Programme was guided and mentored by YRC Counsellor Bedamati Pattanaik.
