Blending indigenous wisdom with modern innovation, the ‘Our Future India’ Youth Consultation brought together over 100 young change-makers from KISS and KIIT Deemed to be University, and civil society groups in Bhubaneswar on April 12–13, 2025. Hosted by the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences in collaboration with CEEW, the United Nations Foundation, and the Next Generation India Fellowship, this dynamic two-day dialogue focused on climate change, demographic shifts, and sustainable urban futures.

KISS students contributed valuable perspectives from indigenous knowledge systems, emphasizing sustainable lifestyles, environmental stewardship, and community-driven solutions. Their insights, along with those from consultations across seven states, will shape the ‘Our Future India Report,’ set to be presented at the UN General Assembly this September—ensuring youth voices play a pivotal role in global policy discussions on creating a just and sustainable future.
