KISS Foundation extends helping hand to the family of Late Rashmiranjan Suna of Kalahandi district, a PhD scholar of Hyderabad Central University, who died in dengue in last November. Rashmiranjan had earned Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship for his research in Physics. Following his death, the Odia Community in Hyderabad requested Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder KIIT & KISS and KISS Foundation for extending helping hand to his family.

Responding to their request, Dr. Samanta had assured to help the Rashmi’s family apart from providing employment to Rashmi’s sister Padmavati in KISS-Kalahandi. In fact, Rashmi’s maternal uncle and his sister Padmavati met Dr. Samanta in KISS on 10th December, 2018. Dr. Samanta handed over a cheque of Rs. 50000(fifty thousand rupees) to Padmavati and gave her appointment letter in order to work for KISS Kalahandi. For this humanitarian gesture, the Odia community of Hyderabad have thanked Dr. Samanta and KISS Foundation.

Expressing gratitude to Dr. Samanta, Rashmi’s uncle and sister Padmavati said that in extending helping hand to us, Dr. Samanta and KISS Foundation have saved our family. Hailed from a very poor family of Banjhipadar Saplahara under Kalaramunda block of Kalahandi district, Rashmi was the only hope of his family, while his father is a daily wages laborer.
