The Dr. Ambedkar Chair, KISS-DU and Dr. Ambedkar University of Social Sciences, Madhya Pradesh, jointly organized a webinar on Dr. B.R Ambedkar’s Vision on Tribal Development and Indian Constitution on 17th August 2022 as a part of MoU signed between both the Universities.

Professor Deepak Kumar Behera, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, KISS-DU in his Welcome Address mentioned that KISS-DU is a unique educational institution which ensures the development of core ethics, principles and discipline among the students. Professor Behera outlined the Constitutional provisions for the safeguard of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in India.

The Chief Speaker, Professor D. K. Verma, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Dr. B.R Ambedkar University of Social Sciences in his Keynote Address said, Dr. Ambedkar vision was to have an Egalitarian Society: based on democratic principles. He also talked about the role of Ambedkar in drafting the Constitution of India and underlined his contributions in developing the tribal community in India. Further, Professor Verma talked about the contribution of Ambedkar for emancipatory provisions for the social justice and empowerment of the oppressed classes. In his deliberation, he added that both the universities will work collaboratively work and contribute to exchange of knowledge and research for the betterment of the weaker sections.
