The Training and Placement Cell, KISS-DU organized an Induction Programme for the aspirants of competitive examinations on 9th February 2023. It aims to provide structured and intensive training to mentor KISS-DU students and alumni preparing for various competitive examinations such as civil services (UPSC & OPSC), JRF/NET, Banking, Railways, Defence, Police and other state examinations to help build fulfilling careers in the public sectors.

In his Welcome Address, Dr. Kanhu Charan Mahali, IPS (Retd.) Director General, KISS-DU presented the roadmap of the programme. The programme currently has one hundred eighty meritorious students who were selected through a screening test conducted for more than fifteen hundred aspirants, and more than thirty faculty members from across KIIT and KISS group of institutions.

Congratulating the students selected for the programme, Professor Deepak Kumar Behera, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, KISS-DU, motivated the aspirants and spoke on the significance of the building a foundation. He also stressed reading newspapers and remaining updated with current daily affairs. While discussing about the opportunity this initiative provides, he encouraged the students to dedicatedly work towards achieving the goal and fulfil the dream and vision of Hon’ble Founder of KIIT and KISS, Dr. Achyuta Samanta,

In his address, Dr. Prashanta Kumar Routray, Registrar, KISS-DU, inspired the students to work hard and stay focussed in this rigorous journey of preparation. He encouraged students to put their best foot forward as the programme has been specifically designed to meet the aspirations of the students.

In his address, Professor S.N Misra, Professor Emeritus, KIIT-DU, guided the students on the five C’s for success in competitive examinations – Conceptual Clarity, Communication Skills, Content, Contemporary and Critical Analysis, citing examples from his own experience and from the journeys of successful candidates.

Ms. Shweta Kochatta, Assistant Director, Training and Placement, KISS-DU, proposed a Vote of Thanks and wished all the students good luck for the journey ahead.
