The National Service Scheme Unit of the School of Tribal Heritage and Tribal Indology (STHTI) observed Van Mahotsav on 1st July 2026 by organizing a plantation drive titled “ Forests and Economies”, highlighting the theme “Healing the Earth through Greener Initiatives”, to honour and celebrate the significance of trees. The program was graced by the presence of the NSS Coordinator, Dr. Parikhita Khatua, and 7 NSS program officers, and was participated in by 75 NSS volunteers. The venue chosen for this special event was the field site situated at Campus–1 of KISS Deemed to be University.
The Van Mahotsav week Plantation programme concluded successfully with a renewed commitment to the ideals of national service and the NSS motto, “Not Me But You.”
