Swachha Bharat Abhiyan is one of the most popular and significant missions in the history of India. This campaign was launched on 2nd October 2014 to honor Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of a clean country. The major objectives of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is to spread the awareness of cleanliness and the importance of it. Keeping this objective in view, Dr. Trailokya Nath Parida, Programme Officer, NSS, KISS-DU along with other Programme Officers had organized a cleanliness programme at Bhalunka, Daruthenga, Khurda district on 17th April 2022

About 50 volunteers carried an awareness programme. Professor Deepak Kumar Behera, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, KISS-DU along with other Programme Officers extended support in the noble work. KISS-DU has been relentlessly working in meeting the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations since its inception and fulfilling its social responsibility. The NSS wing of KISS-DU is working on the importance of the 5Ps of the SDGs: People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace and Partnership. The event was preceded by a briefing session on the importance of cleanliness to the villagers. The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of KISS-DU expressed his happiness on the success of the campaign and urged more such campaigns in the future.
