Dr. Malay Kumar Bhoi, Assistant Professor, Department of Philosophy, School of Tribal Culture, Philosophy and Eco-Spiritualism, KISS Deemed to be University was invited as a Resource Person at the International Seminar on the theme “Education, Literature, Society and Culture: Challenges, Opportunities and Possibilities”, organized by Lumbini Buddhist University, Central Campus, Lumbini, Nepal, in collaboration with Lal Bahadur Shastri Smarak PG College, Maharajganj, and Kalindi Prakashan Group, Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, India, on 15th and 16th June 2026.

As an invited Resource Person, Dr. Bhoi presented a research paper entitled “Society, Culture and Sustainable Development: A Philosophical Inquiry from IKS Perspective.” The paper explored the philosophical foundations of sustainable development from the perspective of the Indian Knowledge System (IKS), emphasizing the relevance of indigenous wisdom, ethical values, cultural heritage, and holistic approaches in addressing contemporary social, cultural, and environmental challenges. The presentation generated fruitful academic discussions among scholars, researchers and faculty members from different institutions and countries.

The seminar provided an excellent platform for scholarly interaction, exchange of ideas and academic networking at the international level. It also enabled me to showcase our institution’s research and academic contributions to a wider global audience.

On the occasion, Dr. Malay Kumar Bhoi was also honored with the Antarratriya Anveshak Gaurav Samman in recognition of my contributions to teaching, research, philosophical scholarship and the promotion of Indian Knowledge Systems. The award reflects not only my individual academic efforts but also the encouragement and support extended by our institution.
