The AURORA Club of KISS Deemed to be University, conducted a Buzz Session on the theme “Responsibilities of Active Citizenship in the Digital World on 25th November 2023. The session was attended by the staff and students of the AURORA Club.
The students had conducted a session on the responsibilities of active citizenship in the context of the digital world. They created a platform wherein the latest ideas were generated and suggestions for improving processes or problem solving. During the deliberation, the students said that the pandemic has taught them the importance of being a digital citizen and now the onus lies on us as to how we should act as a responsible digital citizen. While talking about some of the responsibilities of an active digital citizen, they highlighted the complexities involved in a digital environment especially concerning the rights and responsibilities of users. The students gave special emphasis on the responsibilities of students and HEIs towards local community development. The session concluded with key highlights of Active Citizenship for the 21st century.
Mr. Makaranda Pradhan, a P.G. 2nd year Commerce student, who is also a member of the AURORA Club had visited Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic under the Sixth Study Visit cum Consortium Meeting. He shared his experiences pertaining to the functioning of the AURORA Club and some of the best practices adopted by the European partners of the AURORA Consortium.
