The KISS-DU AURORA Club organized Van Mahotsav – 2023 in association with the volunteers National Service Scheme (NSS) Bureau, KISS-DU on 31st July 2023. The AURORA Project, whose objective is to inculcate values of active citizenship in the youth, demonstrated a stellar example of the power of youth wherein the student members of the AURORA Club planted trees in order to observe Van Mahotsav – 2023. This was a proactive initiative taken by the club members in order to mark their contribution as a responsible citizen towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – Agenda 2030 with special focus on SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production, SDG 13 – Climate Action and SDG 15 – Life on Land. The plantation drive was done at the Herbal Garden of KISS Deemed to be University being managed by the Centre for Indigenous Knowledge on Herbal Medicines and Therapeutics, one of the seven innovative centres at KISS-DU.
