Education is the most potential weapon to eradicate ills of poverty and hunger. Dedicating his life to mission Education, Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT and KISS has taken a lead to set up a new branch of KISS in Kolkata, West Bengal in collaboration with Help Us Help Them, Kolkata based NGO that promotes the same cause.

The school shall be a residential school for over 1000 children near IIM Joka to spread education. It will be on the same model as Bhubaneswar based Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences, first exclusive tribal University in the world, fully free and fully residential.

Help us Help Them runs two schools – one at Mallickpur in South 24-Parganas and another called School on Wheels in two buses parked across eight locations in Kolkata. However, this collaboration will be the largest social project of the NGO.

The collaboration was formalized by signing of MoU between Help Us Help Them and KISS. Ms. Mukti Gupta, MD, Mukti Group and President of HUHT inked the MoU in Kolkata on 22.10.2017.

This MoU was followed by a programme by the existing school students and a launch of book on the defence forces that will be made a part of the curriculum in all schools run by Help Us Help Them to inculcate a sense of patriotism. Prof. Achyuta Samanta was the guest of Honour for the event. Senior defence members also graced this fund raising occasion.

“I strongly believe in Nelson Mandela’s views. Education truly is the most powerful weapon to end all problems. We want to provide education to the poorest of the poor and this residential school is our way forward towards that goal,” said Mukti Gupta, the founder of the NGO.

” My long cherished dream of setting up a branch of KISS in West Bengal shall come true. HUHT came forward to extend our cause, after seeing the success of KISS model, first and one of its kind for the last 25 years”, said Dr. Samanta passionately marching ahead towards Mission Education.
