Capacity building refers to an enabling and empowering process of an individual/community to improve skill and knowledge for sustainable and gainful living. Capacity building programme for social scientists basically meant to impart and train them with the necessary tools and networks resulting in better chances for producing substantial and excellent research outputs in social sciences for the betterment of human society. In the light of this, under the sponsorship of the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi, a capacity building programme for the faculty members of various social science disciplines, who are in the beginning or mid-stage of their academic career is scheduled to be organized at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar from 01-15 December 2019 with a view to improving their skills in teaching and conducting research in social sciences.
