The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) jointly organized a Distinguished Invited Talk on 10th April 2026 on the topic Humanizing the Global Supply Chains. Professor Rajeev Sawhney, IES with more than two decades of teaching experience at the Boston University and Western Illinois University USA was invited as the resource person to address the gathering.  

 Dr. Chittaranjan Bhoi, Director, HRDC delivered the Welcome Address, and the esteemed guest was introduced by Dr. Disha Bhatt, Deputy Director, IQAC. Speaking on the occasion, Shri. Samarendra Sahu, Advisor of KIIT Technology Business Incubation spoke about how he has envisioned the roadmap for KISS Incubation Centre. In his address, Professor Rajeev Sawhney highlighted the uncertainties in the field of supply chain management and how humanizing it plays a seminal role in dealing with those uncertainties. He opined that management is based on rational human beings. Professor Sawhney explained the importance of consciousness and rational thinking in supply chain through anecdote. The relevance of behavioral management, decision making and conflict resolution in supply chain management. He spoke in detail about the Rational Choice Thinking. Professor Sawhney concluded by saying that Supply Chain is all about viewing things in a broader perspective so that many things can be integrated in the eco system.
