Dr. Ranjuma Pradhan, was awarded Ph.D. degree in Commerce making her the seventh graduand of the School of Tribal Resource Management, KISS Deemed to be University. She successfully defended her thesis titled “Contribution of Tribal Women Farmer to the Agriculture Sector” at the Open Defense Viva held on 25th August 2025. Dr. Ranjuma Pradhan completed her degree under the supervision of Dr. Snigdharani Panda, Associate Professor and Chairperson Council of Deans and Dr. Gouri Shankar Beriha, Associate Professor, Business Administration Centre for Distance and Online Education, Sambalpur University.
The external examiner, Professor Pranam Dhar, Department of Commerce, University of Kolkata while Professor Ranjan Kumar Bal, Professor Emeritus, KISS-DU made his valuable contributions as the V C nominee. Professor BCM Patnaik, Associate Professor in Commerce at KIIT-DU, Dr. Parishkita Khatua, Assistant Professor and Dr. Liji Panda, Assistant Professor were the esteemed RSC members. The presentation session was graced by Dr. Arpana Premi Lina Oraon, Director of the Research and Development Cell, faculty members and research scholars.
Dr. Ranjuma Pradhan joined KISS in STD 12, hailing from the Kandha tribe in Kandhamal district and enrolling as a research scholar in the year 20202-1, Dr. Pradhan wishes to improve, and enhance the socio economic conditions of the women farmer in her community with the desire of addressing SDG 5, SDG 8 and SDG 10. She has navigated remarkable academic journey, culminating in this significant achievement.
