The Department of Commerce, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Centre for Indigenous Innovation and Entrepreneurship, AURORA Club and KISS Science and Technology Innovation Hub for Tribals, organized an Institution Innovation Council MoE-driven activity by observing the National Start-Up Day on 16th January 2025.
The day’s competitions included: Start-Up Ideathon: A platform for students to showcase innovative business ideas and creative solutions to real-world problems, Drawing Competition: Focused on visualizing startup ideas, participants expressed their entrepreneurial visions through artwork and Corporate Chronicles: A storytelling competition that highlighted the journeys of entrepreneurs, blending creativity with lessons in resilience and determination.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from postgraduate students of the School of Tribal Resource Management, who engaged in brainstorming sessions, art, and storytelling activities. The day’s celebrations was followed by prize distribution ceremony, by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Professor Deepak Kumar Behera, where winners of the competitions were felicitated for their exceptional performances.
The program provided an enriching experience for the participants and attendees, emphasizing the importance of startups in driving innovation, fostering economic growth, and empowering communities. The competitions and activities reiterated KISS’s commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial talent and creating opportunities for its students to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
