KISS-DU members attend the Orientation cum Refreshers’ Session on Institution’s Innovation Council Objectives, Structure, Operation for IIC Institutions

The IIC members of KISS-DU attended the MIC-driven session organized by the Institution Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education (MoE), on “Orientation cum Refreshers’ Session on Institution’s Innovation Objectives, Structure, Operation for IIC Institutions on 5^th August 2024.

In his address, Mr. Dipan Sahu, Assistant Director, IIC, discussed benchmarking in the innovation ecosystem in HEIs and I&E key performance indicators. He added that there are seven key parameters and 22 key indicators. While talking about the IIC 6.0 Star Rating, he said that 80% of the total score was earned from scores from activities conducted in all four quarters, and 20% of the total score was earned from the institution’s performance in I&E initiatives. Mr. Sahu also discussed the National Innovation and Startup Policy 2019 for Students and Faculty (NISP). Furthermore, he spoke at length about the Innovative features of the IIC portal and delivered a demo of the IIC login dashboard and its features.
