KISS-DU IIC organized the Viksit Bharat@20247 Utsav on 11 December 2023 and arranged for the Prime Minister of India to be live telecast in various classrooms and auditoriums of all the schools for the students and faculty.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ‘Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth’ initiative via video conferencing, addressing Vice Chancellors, Heads of Institutes, and faculty members. He emphasized the role of educational institutions in shaping individuals and the nation, urging them to guide the youth towards the goal of a developed India by 2047. Modi highlighted the importance of personality development and the need to channel students’ energy towards this common goal.

He stressed the significance of the current period, referred to as ‘Amrit Kaal’, as a time for India to make significant strides in its development journey. PM Modi called for special campaigns in colleges and universities to engage more youth in this initiative and mentioned the launch of an Ideas Portal for suggestions on five themes, with prizes for the best ideas2.

The Prime Minister also emphasized the need for a generation prioritising national interest, civic sense, and social responsibility. He highlighted the importance of public participation in achieving the vision of a developed India, drawing parallels with successful initiatives like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and the Digital India Campaign.

Students and faculty were encouraged to submit their ideas for Viksit Bharat@2047 in the Portal. The IIC and the IQAC have planned several post-events to spread awareness and achieve the goal of a developed Bharat.
