KISS-DU in association with the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Chair and the Political Science Programme under the School of Tribal Culture, Philosophy and Eco-Spiritualism observed Constitution Day on 26th November 2022. The event was attended by staff, students and Research Chair Professors.

The Vice-Chancellor of University Prof. Deepak Behera ignited young minds by sharing some important facts about our constitution. He said, everybody should evince interest in gaining knowledge about our Constitution. The Chief Speaker, Professor Brahmanda Satpathy, Research Chair Professor spoke about the evolution and growth of the Indian constitution. Professor Satpathy spoke eloquently about the Indian independence Act. 1935, Fundamental Rights, DPSP, Concurrent list, and amendment powers as precious parts of our constitution. He advised the students to read about the basic philosophy of NEFA. He also advised the students to read the book ‘Freedom at Midnight’. He also spoke vividly about the importance of fundamental duties as well as secularism to our students.

Professor In-charge of Ambedkar Dr. Krupasindhu Nayak gave his address and he urged the students to gain knowledge about Ambedkar’s life and Dr. Nayak suggested the students to practise three principles of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar: Education; Organize and Agitation.

Mr. Sai Biswanath Tripathy, Faculty, Political Science Programme proposed a Vote of Thanks.
