80 girl students of KISS have taken up Handicraft Technical training under HRD scheme in collaboration with Ministry of Textiles, GOI. The program commenced on 1st June 2017 and training was imparted in fields like Applique, Embroidery and Tribal/Saura Art.
576 training hours (@6hrs per day) are earmarked to cover the curriculum. Eight trained Master Trainers (two per batch) were engaged for the assignments. The curriculum had theory and practical components.
The program aims at building vocational skills in specialized areas for marketable skills enabling gainful engagement in future career of the student trainees.
The trainees received additional benefits of stipend for attending the program. KISS is committed to scale up the program building on the learning and good practices assuring it’s success.
